Theatre Intern

Overview: Great opportunity for high school students, college students, or recent college graduates with a focus in Theatre Administration, Technical Theatre, and/or Stage Management. Gain valuable, hands-on experience with the LowellArts Theatre program as an Assistant Producer of all theatrical productions – including a youth play. Interns will also be expected to Stage Manage the spring production.

Previous Stage Management experience (Preferred)
Pay: $900 stipend ($100/month)
Time Commitment & Schedule: This internship will run for 9 months through the 2024-2025 school year, beginning at the start of August and ending at the end of April. Required availability during office hours Tuesday-Friday between 10am-6pm, some weekends for production performances, weekday evenings for production rehearsals when Stage Managing.
Minimum Time Requirement: 10 hours per month – weekly hours may vary. Participation as Stage Manager will increase the number of hours per week.

Gallery Intern

Overview: Great opportunity for college students with a focus in Art/Fine Art/Studio Art, Art History, and/or Arts Management. Gain valuable, hands-on experience with the LowellArts Gallery program as an assistant to all visual arts programming. Duties may include but are not limited to: assisting with all aspects of an exhibition process from art drop-off to art pick-up, prepping gallery walls, installing artwork, exhibition lighting, greeting gallery patrons, gallery promotions, event coordination, etc.

Pay: Unpaid – Students wishing to gain college credit must provide appropriate paperwork in accordance with their school’s requirements.
Time Commitment & Schedule: Internship applications are accepted for spring, summer, and fall academic terms. Required availability during office hours Tuesday-Friday between 10am-6pm, and some weekends for special events.
